Summerhouse Grill – Montrose, PA.

The Summerhouse Grill is a delightfully fresh, yet unfortunately hidden, restaurant located down an alleyway off South Main Street, Montrose PA.

The refreshingly talented owners, Anthony and Severson pride themselves on the use of all locally bought, fresh ingredients, arising out of the surrounding agrarian community – aside from ocean caught seafood – which is a subconsciously great paring to serve out of their renovated carriage house structure. Bottom line… Great place. Check it out!

P.S. They will be closed for the winter, as of yesterday…

Sounds like a nice place. Too bad we didn\’t know about this earlier. Their website could use some work. For example, what does the outside of the place look like – need a photo?? And the map could use some directions like, from 81 south… or a compass at least. Menu looked downhome and good to boot.

There are some great places to eat when it’s the summertime and I’m not talking about Rita’s Italian Ice. Kundala’s (sp) has some great bbq. Every summer I plan on going there and to this point I haven’t been. As far year-round dining there are also plenty of good places. There’s even a bunch of new restaurants that have opened in the last 3-4 months, like the tappas restaurant on Adams Ave. The name escapes me at the moment, but it has great ambiance.
